Best moment this week: We wanted to be able to bring our new bundle to the tree farm to pick out our Christmas tree, but seeing my due date come and go,we decided to go and get our tree after Thanksgiving. We walked the hills of the tree farm hoping it would send me into labor.. not so much..
Miss anything: Sleep!!
Movement: Baby is still moving those limbs all over the place!
Symptoms: Itching and not being able to sleep.
Cravings: Sweets for sure.
Looking forward to: Meeting this baby, finally!! Where are you?!

How far along: 39 weeks (November 17-November 23)
Gender Prediction: Girl
Weight gain: Pass!
Maternity clothes: Let's just say my options are getting VERY limited.
Sleep: Still not all that great.
Best moment this week: Ending work and starting maternity leave! No baby yet, although it would have been nice to start Maternity leave and have the bambino already.. I'm so ready!
Miss anything: Easy lunch options... I'd kill for a deli sandwich right about now. I normally am fine with out one, but how easy is it to make a quick sandwich with chicken, cheese, and mayo.... or a turkey club... yum.
Movement: Yes, tons.
Symptoms: The main thing still bothering me is just the itchy skin. It's starting to spread though..
Cravings: Kind of indecisive this week. I'm hungry, but not particularly in the mood for something specific..
Looking forward to: Our due date!! Thanksgiving, hopefully being able to do some Black Friday or Cyber Monday shopping and knowing baby's gender?!

Baby Hobson's Hospital Bag

As the days get crossed off and we get closer and closer to Baby H's due date, I figured now was a good a time as ever to get Baby's hospital bag packed! We didn't wanted to overpack and have a ton of stuff we wouldn't need, so I did a ton of research on what we should bring. Here is what we came up with!

So what's in our bag.. we've packed the following.

Warm Blanket - since it's November in Connecticut, we packed a super warm and fuzzy blanket to go over baby once he or she is strapped into their carseat. This was a gift at our baby shower and I love how one side is polka dots, and the other is grey and white plaid!

Boppy - for propping, breast feeding, or just plain snuggling.

Coming Home Outfit - This is from Baby Gap. A sweet little coverall and matching white knotted hat. I love babies in white clothes!

Thanksgiving Sticker/Onesie - There is a chance that we may be spending Thanksgiving in the hospital. My due date is two days before Turkey Day, so I wanted to be prepared just incase! I want to take the monthly photos of baby in just a plain white onesie, and for our baby shower we received these awesome first holiday stickers! So I wanted to bring this with us just in case. If Turkey day passes, I'll surely remove these two items.

Baby Log - My mother in law got me this awesome baby log book to track feedings, diapers, sleep, etc! I figured that doctors and nurses will likely be asking these questions in the hospital, so why not get tracking right off the bat.

Hand Sanitizer - Just an easy option for friends and family when they come to visit to make sure their hands are clean to minimize any germ exposure to Baby H.

Swaddle Blankets - I love the hospital provided ones, with the pink and blue stripe, but I thought it might be fun to pack some personal ones as well. So I picked my two favorite, obviously aqua and aqua stars.

Pacifiers/Clips - how freaking adorable are these pacifier clips?! They are from Madeline's Box! They are so cute and will keep baby's pacifier clipped to them and off of the floor! Hospital floors are so dirty, so I'm so excited to be bringing these to clip onto baby's blanket or shirt. They have tons of other colors as well, please go check them out! I can't wait to find out if baby is a boy or girl so we can order some other colors! Go check out their website madelinesbox.com and their instagram @madelines.box!

Mittens - Not sure if the onesies that the hospital provides have the little mitts, so I packed two pairs just incase.

Socks - not sure if we will use these! I know baby will get a heel prick, and have two ankle bracelets on, but I wanted to pack them just in case baby's feet were cold!

Nail File - To file down baby's sharp nails so he or she doesn't scratch themselves.

Hats - The only gender specific thing we are bringing! I purchased the hats on the left from Infanteenie Beanie pretty early on in our pregnancy. I loved how simple and adorable they were and how fresh and new they looked! A few months later I scored the knotted hats from Jcrew on sale as they sold off the last of their baby items. They are so soft and cute. I can't wait to know what color we will be using!!

Next I have to pack our bag!

It's Baby Month!

Hello, November! It is officially Baby Month!

Wow. I’m so excited and anxious and wishing time would stand still. It’s a rush of all of these emotions that in just a short time we will be holding our precious little babe in our arms. I cannot believe it. This pregnancy has flown by. I think I’ve been really lucky to have had such a relatively easy and stress free pregnancy. I’ve really enjoyed being pregnant, however, this last week has definitely shown its colors. I think it’s just what the last few weeks of pregnancy is about.

Oh baby! I cannot wait to meet you! I know I will for sure miss your little wiggles and worms inside this belly, but I know it will be such a blessing and so amazing to have you in my arms!

Now, let’s place some bets, boy or girl? It’s the final countdown!

35 Weeks

How far along: 35 weeks (October 20-October 26)
Gender Prediction: Not sure again! I have a gut feeling on girl, but had a dream recently about a boy!
Weight gain: Pass!
Maternity clothes: Of course! Stocked up on nursing tanks and bras and shirts that will allow for.. easy access for afterwards.
Sleep: Pretty good, but the turning from one side to another is getting pretty challenging...
Best moment this week: Our pumpkin carving party!
Miss anything: A drink! Was really craving a spiked seltzer this weekend, but soon enough!
Movement: Yes. Still little rolls and swipes. It's baby's legs. I love those little legs! Honestly, it's the only thing I can picture on the baby. I have no idea what or who this little one will look like (obviously), and I feel these little legs moving about daily.. I can picture two little chicken legs, which will hopefully one day be filled up with yummy thigh rolls for days! hah.
Symptoms: Itchy skin, hard time moving in bed, and getting my shoes on, but I can still do it!
Cravings: All the Halloween candy! I should not have bought like 10 bags of candy we like...
Looking forward to: Getting our car back and baby month is right around the corner!!

Maternity Photos

Finally! Time to post our amazing photos from our maternity session with our always amazing photographer, Candace Jeffery of Candace Jeffery Photography! They shot our wedding and we are obsessed with our wedding photos, and knew that this session would be no different! I can't wait for her to come and photograph us as a family of three!

Ugh, now to debate which ones to hang!

34 Weeks

How far along: 34 weeks (October 13-October 19)
Gender Prediction: Undecided! Can't believe we will know so soon!
Weight gain: Pass! haha.
Maternity clothes: Of course.
Sleep: Up for an hour or so every night after having to get up to pee. I can't seem to fall back asleep.
Best moment this week: I honestly can't remember this week. I need to get ahead on posting these things. Since they're always in the back of my mind and from the entire past week.
Miss anything: Unswollen hands and feet!
Movement: I feel most on my left side. When I went to my 34 week check up this week, the doctor was able to feel baby's tush on the left side of my belly, so it kind of confirmed that I'm feeling more movement from those little legs and feet moving around!
Symptoms: I have been out of breath a lot this week. I think baby was super high a few days, and totally pushing everything up against my lungs.
Cravings: Chocolate chip cookies!
Looking forward to: Finishing up the nursery, packing out hospital bag, and getting our car back soon!!!

Up next I'll share some of our amazing maternity photos!

33 Weeks

How far along: 33 weeks (October 6-October 12)
Gender Prediction: Undecided this week.
Weight gain: No change from last week.
Maternity clothes: Oh yes. Thinking about what pieces I have that can work for fall...
Sleep: Pretty good this week. I've been super tired in the morning, so I've been sleeping in until the last second I have to get up.
Best moment this week: Going to purchase our stroller!
Miss anything: Being able to sit up quickly and normally. This belly is in the way and makes it very difficult!
Movement: Tons of rolls and waves. I also feel a little foot a few times a day that will flick or swipe across my right side. It always puts a smile on my face and kind of feels like a tickle! I know I will miss this one day soon.
Symptoms: Still swelling. blah.
Cravings: Chocolate and buffalo chicken, but not together.. haha. That's a gross mixture.
Looking forward to: Meeting our pediatrician, and our newborn class coming up!

I can't wait to share some of our nursery progress! I've been busy with mini sessions for my photography business, to ensure all my clients get their holiday photos before baby H comes. Once that is all set, I'll share our nursery progress!

My cuddle bug.

Nothing better than Five Guys!

It's starting to look like Halloween.. :)

How far along: 32 weeks (September 29-October 5)

Miss anything: Deli meat
Movement: Yes, been feeling baby super low lately.
Symptoms: Still swelling. blah.

Looking forward to: Meeting our pediatrician, and our newborn class coming up!

Alright, last post we talked about the rise of my mom car, and now let's talk about the fall of my mom car.

I had just left my parents and was heading home to go up to the Big E with Wayne and some friends. My parents have a sharp curve in the road at the corner of their property. I backed out of my parents driveway and started towards the curve, as I approached it, it was basically already too late. A guy driving a small truck had taken the sharp curve in my lane and by the time I saw him I had no where to go and we hit head on. My driver side door wouldn't open, so I had to climb over to the passenger side to get out.

I wasn't sure where I had hit, so we went to the hospital to get monitored just to be safe. I immediately felt a little bit of pain from the seat belt, and didn't think I hit my stomach, but still just wanted to get cleared by a doctor! We spent about 5 hours in the hospital and got a little preview of what will happen when we come in to deliver baby H! It was pretty crazy, as soon as you come in through the ER doors with a baby bump, they immediately put you into a wheel chair and get you up to labor and delivery. Good to know for when it's the real deal. They hooked me up to the monitors and did see some contractions, but it could have been due to dehydration and not eating recently. So we had a few snacks and ordered dinner. We finally got the OK to leave at 9:30-10ish.

So now my car is going through all the insurance craziness and will hopefully be fixed before baby H makes his or her debut! In a way I am so thankful that the accident happened in the new car, as I was above the point of impact in this car. My old car would have been a different story as I would have been level with the impact. So I guess my mommy mobile did what it was supposed to do. Still so frustrating as my car had about 500 miles on it! But, baby H and I are OK, and cars can be fixed!

31 Weeks

How far along: 31 weeks (September 22-September 28)
Gender Prediction: Half and half this week!
Weight gain: I didn't gain anything between weeks 28 and 30 which was nice. But I was weighed in the ER after a car accident on Saturday the 26th (more to come on this eventually), and I'm up another 2 lbs. On another note, let's talk about how different my belly looks from morning when I wake up, to evening. I swear it looks like I'm 3x bigger! Hence, this photo up top. I took picture the next morning and my belly looks completely different. It's wild. You can find it down below.
Maternity clothes: Needing to purchase a few plain tanks to wear with sweaters. The fall temps are approaching.
Sleep: Amazing last week! We had the windows wide open and the breeze was so nice. I found myself sleeping solidly from 10ish - 4ish. I even slept one night with out getting up to pee. Score!
Best moment this week:I guess I kind of skipped over my shower because I'm behind on these posts. I'm always posting a week later. But, my shower was amazing last week! As well as getting my mom car!
Miss anything: Sleeping on my stomach, shaving with out performing some sort of yoga move.
Movement: Tons. It really is probably the best part of pregnancy. I love feeling this little babe in there rolling around, stretching, playing. It really is such an amazing feeling!
Symptoms: Feet/calf swelling. I'm also experiencing what is not exactly heart burn, but is a general light discomfort after eating or when laying down. Almost feels like I have to burp, but I don't. Nothing I've had to take tums for yet either, but I just feel something there. So weird. And just overall exhaustion.
Cravings: Jelly donuts for sure, Chocolate milk or milkshakes, and coffee crumb cake! Oh my!
Looking forward to: Organizing the nursery! I'm really on a mission to start to wash sweet little baby things and find everything a home! It was a crazy task after our baby shower to sort through everything, but I did it! Working on putting things where it makes the most sense for them to be.. I've been searching pinterest for nursery organization.

So you heard me mention getting into an accident above. First let's just celebrate having my new mom car for a little bit first before we talk about the downfall of it.

And the picture of my bump the next morning after I took the chalkboard photo above... It's insane how different I look from morning to night!!
