Baby Hobson's Hospital Bag

As the days get crossed off and we get closer and closer to Baby H's due date, I figured now was a good a time as ever to get Baby's hospital bag packed! We didn't wanted to overpack and have a ton of stuff we wouldn't need, so I did a ton of research on what we should bring. Here is what we came up with!

So what's in our bag.. we've packed the following.

Warm Blanket - since it's November in Connecticut, we packed a super warm and fuzzy blanket to go over baby once he or she is strapped into their carseat. This was a gift at our baby shower and I love how one side is polka dots, and the other is grey and white plaid!

Boppy - for propping, breast feeding, or just plain snuggling.

Coming Home Outfit - This is from Baby Gap. A sweet little coverall and matching white knotted hat. I love babies in white clothes!

Thanksgiving Sticker/Onesie - There is a chance that we may be spending Thanksgiving in the hospital. My due date is two days before Turkey Day, so I wanted to be prepared just incase! I want to take the monthly photos of baby in just a plain white onesie, and for our baby shower we received these awesome first holiday stickers! So I wanted to bring this with us just in case. If Turkey day passes, I'll surely remove these two items.

Baby Log - My mother in law got me this awesome baby log book to track feedings, diapers, sleep, etc! I figured that doctors and nurses will likely be asking these questions in the hospital, so why not get tracking right off the bat.

Hand Sanitizer - Just an easy option for friends and family when they come to visit to make sure their hands are clean to minimize any germ exposure to Baby H.

Swaddle Blankets - I love the hospital provided ones, with the pink and blue stripe, but I thought it might be fun to pack some personal ones as well. So I picked my two favorite, obviously aqua and aqua stars.

Pacifiers/Clips - how freaking adorable are these pacifier clips?! They are from Madeline's Box! They are so cute and will keep baby's pacifier clipped to them and off of the floor! Hospital floors are so dirty, so I'm so excited to be bringing these to clip onto baby's blanket or shirt. They have tons of other colors as well, please go check them out! I can't wait to find out if baby is a boy or girl so we can order some other colors! Go check out their website madelinesbox.com and their instagram @madelines.box!

Mittens - Not sure if the onesies that the hospital provides have the little mitts, so I packed two pairs just incase.

Socks - not sure if we will use these! I know baby will get a heel prick, and have two ankle bracelets on, but I wanted to pack them just in case baby's feet were cold!

Nail File - To file down baby's sharp nails so he or she doesn't scratch themselves.

Hats - The only gender specific thing we are bringing! I purchased the hats on the left from Infanteenie Beanie pretty early on in our pregnancy. I loved how simple and adorable they were and how fresh and new they looked! A few months later I scored the knotted hats from Jcrew on sale as they sold off the last of their baby items. They are so soft and cute. I can't wait to know what color we will be using!!

Next I have to pack our bag!

It's Baby Month!

Hello, November! It is officially Baby Month!

Wow. I’m so excited and anxious and wishing time would stand still. It’s a rush of all of these emotions that in just a short time we will be holding our precious little babe in our arms. I cannot believe it. This pregnancy has flown by. I think I’ve been really lucky to have had such a relatively easy and stress free pregnancy. I’ve really enjoyed being pregnant, however, this last week has definitely shown its colors. I think it’s just what the last few weeks of pregnancy is about.

Oh baby! I cannot wait to meet you! I know I will for sure miss your little wiggles and worms inside this belly, but I know it will be such a blessing and so amazing to have you in my arms!

Now, let’s place some bets, boy or girl? It’s the final countdown!

35 Weeks

How far along: 35 weeks (October 20-October 26)
Gender Prediction: Not sure again! I have a gut feeling on girl, but had a dream recently about a boy!
Weight gain: Pass!
Maternity clothes: Of course! Stocked up on nursing tanks and bras and shirts that will allow for.. easy access for afterwards.
Sleep: Pretty good, but the turning from one side to another is getting pretty challenging...
Best moment this week: Our pumpkin carving party!
Miss anything: A drink! Was really craving a spiked seltzer this weekend, but soon enough!
Movement: Yes. Still little rolls and swipes. It's baby's legs. I love those little legs! Honestly, it's the only thing I can picture on the baby. I have no idea what or who this little one will look like (obviously), and I feel these little legs moving about daily.. I can picture two little chicken legs, which will hopefully one day be filled up with yummy thigh rolls for days! hah.
Symptoms: Itchy skin, hard time moving in bed, and getting my shoes on, but I can still do it!
Cravings: All the Halloween candy! I should not have bought like 10 bags of candy we like...
Looking forward to: Getting our car back and baby month is right around the corner!!
