26 Weeks

How far along: 26 weeks (August 18-August 24)
Gender Prediction: Thinking girl again. Always switching!
Weight gain: 20 lbs.
Maternity clothes: Yes! In need of a new night gown. I have one of those t-shirt nightgowns from VS that I love to wear in the summer, and well.. I put it on the other night and it was more like a t-shirt than a nightgown! All of my shorts and sleep boxers that I wear to bed are so constricting and uncomfortable in the waist now. Have to figure something out soon!
Sleep: This past week has not been great! Experienced a few nights where I was up for a few hours during the night. However, our sweet little pup has some confusion or something going on. He's been trying to jump in bed and cuddle starting at around 3:30. So almost every half hour on the dot we hear him walk down the hallway and try to get into bed with us. I feel bad, but he takes up too much room and gives off way to much heat. So we send him away, and he keeps trying. Thankfully, Sunday night into Monday he slept until 5. It was much needed for all of us! I slept like a rock, and even had some some crazy dreams.
Best moment this week: I pampered myself and indulged in an extra foot massage after my pedicure this weekend! I normally prefer to just paint my nails myself and only get a mani/pedi a few times in the spring/summer, but I was reading online some cures or ways to combat swelling, and sure enough, massage was one of them. Wayne attempted to massage my poor sausage feet (they really weren't that bad), which was so sweet, but I decided to splurge on the extra at the nail salon and I'm so happy I did. The swelling was pretty much gone at that point anyways, but it was nice to give it the extra boost of blood flow! I may have to get a few more before this babe makes his/her arrival.
Miss anything: Sleeping on my stomach this week!
Movement: We were in the car this weekend driving to breakfast and baby did a complete roll or twist or something, and it totally caught me off guard. So crazy to feel these big movements.
Symptoms: The swelling has gone down, thank goodness! And still tired.
Cravings: Jelly donuts, for sure.
Looking forward to: Wayne's Huggies & Chuggies party this weekend. And getting some things done around here. We're looking into some classes and pediatricians right now.

Went out to dinner with some dear friends on Saturday night and we devoured this plate of nachos!

Whipped up a new desert - Oreo bark! Yum!

I can still see my feet, for now!

25 Weeks

How far along: 25 weeks (August 11-August 17)
Gender Prediction: Feeling boy again this week. But I did switch back to girl a few times!
Weight gain: Oy, 20 lbs so far. Time to lay off the ice cream.
Maternity clothes: I am obsessed with these Liz Lange V-Neck Maternity Tees. Just ordered more online!
Sleep: Pretty good. Using my maternity pillow and trying to stay on my left side.
Best moment this week: Our glider was delivered! And hearing baby H's heartbeat at my check up on Friday. It was in the 150's!
Miss anything: Pepperoni.
Movement: Kicks, punches, and some hiccups!
Symptoms: This week I have finally met swollen ankles. Oy vey! Thinking it may be related to a bit of dehydration. Trying to chug water like it's my job.
Cravings: Oreo's...and lots of them.
Looking forward to: Crossing more things off our to do list!

Here's a few pictures from the past week.
Here's our glider all set up!

Went on a date for our favorite pizza, Cheeseburger Pizza! So delish.

Had a little cuddle sesh with my favorite fur baby.

'Nuff said. :)

We took my dad to a Met's game over the weekend. It was so hot out, but thankfully we had some cloud cover, and even got hit with a random thunderstorm. The rain helped to cool us down. Unfortunately they lost.

24 Weeks

How far along: 24 weeks (August 4-August 10)
Gender Prediction: Leaning towards BOY this week!
Weight gain: Getting up there, but haven't weighed myself so, not sure!
Maternity clothes: I had one of my sweet friends let me borrow some maternity skirts and dresses! Wearing tons of maxi skirts and dresses lately. All about that comfort.
Sleep: A little uncomfortable this week. Tossing and turning a bit. Still up at about 4 am every morning to pee.
Best moment this week: We got to see our little munchkin again this week.
Miss anything: Nothing new.
Movement: Yes, tons! All these kicks and punches make me smile when I least expect it!
Symptoms: Feeling what I think is possibly round ligament pain. And by the end of the night, my stomach feels so super stretched out and just blah.
Cravings: Didn't really have much this week in the way of cravings..
Looking forward to: Our glider arriving next week and heading to a Mets game over the weekend with my dad.

If you follow me on instagram (@hobsonmelissa) you've seen most of these already. (:

Mr. Mack approves of the carpet!

A little decaf frap, the cutest little converse, and a picture of our sweet babe! He or She? Looks like a boy in this picture!

Not sure if everyone participated, but I sure did, National Chocolate Chip Cookie day was August 4th, a la mode.

My mother in law started me on the Skinny Girl sparklers. They're delish. Perfect amount of bubbly to make you think you're sipping on a refreshing summer cocktail.

Bumpin'

Best way to end week 24, an ice cream date with the girls! Here's to getting on the scale at the drs. office on Friday. Oh lord.

Baby Onepiece and Bodysuit Obsession

Since finding out we're expecting, I couldn't help but start obsessing over sweet little baby clothes! I love seeing babies in soft stretchy clothing, opposed to jeans and real pants/shirts or structured real clothes. I love when babies are so cozy and comfy in the softest little outfits. Here are just a few that I have eyed depending upon if baby Hobson comes out a boy or a girl!

These are just a few examples! I'm also obsessed with leggings for both boys and girls. I love a little diaper bum and chubby legs!

This waiting game sure is hard, but it's also keeping me from going crazy and buying tons of unnecessary gender specific things. We have a handful of plain and gender neutral onesies. Plus with baby arriving a month before Christmas, I can foresee tons of baby clothes boxes under the tree this year!

23 Weeks

How far along: 23 weeks (July 28-August 3)
Gender Prediction: Leaning towards BOY this week!
Weight gain: 12+.
Maternity clothes: Wearing my maternity jeans and now obsessed with this Liz Lange Maternity tee from Target. It's stretchy and super comfy! Highly recommended.
Sleep: Good this week. Been sleeping soundly until 4am when I need to get up to pee.
Best moment this week: The nursery is finally taking some shape!
Miss anything: An ice cold beer.
Movement: Yes (:
Symptoms: Still low on energy and my face and back are breaking out like crazy.
Cravings: Pizza, hot dogs, and ice cream still!
Looking forward to: Completing the nursery. We have a ways to go, but it's really starting to look like something! And finishing my todo list of cleaning the house.

I took Friday off from work and we ran a bunch of errands. We stopped at the Jeep dealership and test drove my dream mommy-mobile, the Jeep Grand Cherokee! We both really liked it. Just have to figure out my lease and what payments would be, etc. Something exciting on the horizon.

We also made a trip to ikea, I really wanted the cube bookshelf, the little wall book shelves to display baby Hobson's books, and some dresser drawer organizers. And a cinnamon bun, who are we kidding here...

Then hubby and I went on an early dinner date at Pepe's for some delicious pizza. I love living in CT, we really do have some of the best pizza places around here.

Here is a sneak peak of the nursery so far!

And here are a few snapshots from the weekend..

22 Weeks

How far along: 22 weeks (July 21-July 27)
Gender Prediction: Still thinking girl this week.
Weight gain: 12+.
Maternity clothes: Purchased a pair of jeans from a pea in the pod, finally, and they are amazing!
Sleep: Still pretty good! Had a night where I was up for a few hours.. but that's expected I'm sure! Wishing I could sleep on my stomach.
Best moment this week: We got a ton of progress done in the house and nursery this week. Working on cleaning this house top to bottom! And getting a little pampering when I got my hair done. Always relaxing and much needed.
Miss anything: A turkey sandwich!
Movement: All over the place.
Symptoms: Still low on energy.
Cravings: Ice cream
Looking forward to: More nursery progress. We've started to order some things, so anxiously awaiting on their arrivals! Excited to see it all come together. Things are getting really real!

21 Weeks

Sweet photobomb courtesy of Mr. Mack. For some reason, whenever Wayne is taking my pictures, regardless of what room we take them in, he has to sit right infront of me. He just wanted to be included. Haha.

How far along: 21 weeks (July 14-July 20)
Gender Prediction: Changed this category to include my prediction instead! This week I was thinking Girl.
Weight gain: I think it was 12 lbs at my apt on July 17.
Maternity clothes: Maternity/nursing bras and underwear are a must! I did purchase maternity cami's, I wear a tank top under everything, so my old ones weren't cutting it any more!
Sleep: Sleeping good and hard this week.
Best moment this week:We went on a weekend vaca with our friends to the Hamptons. Ate some delicious food and saw some awesome sights!
Miss anything: A nice cold glass of pinot grigio on some of these hot summer evenings.
Movement: Tons. Starting to see a few from the outside when I'm sitting still.
Symptoms: Very tired. Needing a coffee in the afternoon to get me through the evening. I don't have a coffee in the morning, and if I do have coffee it's half regular half decaf. I wake up generally feeling good and energized, but by lunch time or just after.. I'm sleeping with my eyes open!
Cravings: Chocolate chip cookies and donuts.
Looking forward to: Cleaning house. We've got everything jotted down and a whole bunch of tasks to tackle! One room at a time.. we'll get there.. eventually.

Here are a few photos from our weekend in the Hamptons.

This chipwich was absolutely delicious! The perfect afternoon snack.

Hubby and I on the main street in Southhampton.

We stopped by the gorgeous Wolffer Estate Vineyard. Too bad I had to have water in a wineglass, but the whole property was breath taking.

On the Ferry back to CT.

20 Weeks

How far along: 20 weeks (July 7-July 13) cannot believe we are halfway to meeting this sweet baby!
Gender: It's a Baby!
Weight gain: 8+ lbs.
Maternity clothes:A few shirts and tank tops, but still getting by with my own jeans. Wearing a ton of my maxi skirts and dresses as they are so flowy and comfy! Being pregnant in the summer has some perks for sure!
Sleep: Not so good this week. Tossing and turning a bunch.
Best moment this week: Getting to see our little munchkin at our anatomy scan! And also celebrating my brother and now sister in law's wedding! I seriously felt hungover the next day. Was so exhausted from the festivities, I needed my normal greasy go hangover cure, and it did the trick! Haha. A grilled cheese, diet coke, and side of fries. It was delicious!
Miss anything: Clear skin! Man, these hormones are no joke.
Movement: Becoming more and more frequent! Loving all those karate kicks!
Symptoms: Still super exhausted and feeling pulling and stretching.
Cravings: Sweets!
Looking forward to: Nursery progress. We've got a bunch of ideas narrowed down, now it's just all about finding time and getting to work! And some baby shower planning!

Look at that little nose! :)

I couldn't help myself from ordering these goodies from Burt's Bees Baby! Everything is so unbelievably soft. I'm obsessed!
Wayne and I at the wedding.

My new sister in law! :) What a beautiful bride!
